CANS-NY Introductory Live Training
The CANS-NY Introductory Live Training is a 3-part webinar series conducted by trainers from the CANS-NY Technical Assistance Institute. Each live training webinar is 2-hours in length. This course includes required independent learning to complete between each live session (i.e. interactive activities, videos to view).
Is this a required training? Yes. The CANS-NY Introductory Live Training meets the NYS DOH requirement for all Care Managers of HHSC. You must complete all training webinars and assignments in ENTIRETY, in the prescribed ORDER, to receive a certificate of completion for this training.
How often is this training offered?NYS DOH and the CANS-NY TAI will host two complete rounds of CANS-NY Introductory training each month (Nov, Dec, Jan, ?…). This schedule is subject to change at any time.
How many webinar parts will I need to attend to complete this training? Three distinct webinars are required: Webinar Part #1, Part #2, Part #3 must be attended in this order.

CANS-NY Supervisory Training
The CANS-NY Live Supervisory Training is a 2-part webinar series conducted by trainers from the CANS-NY Technical Assistance Institute. Each live webinar session is 3-hours in length.
Is this a required training? The CANS-NY Supervisory Training meets the NYS DOH requirement for all Care Manager Supervisors of HHSC. You must fully complete all training requirements to receive a certificate of completion for this training.
How often is this training offered?NYS DOH and the CANS-NY TAI will host one full CANS-NY Supervisory Training each month (Nov, Dec, Jan, ?…). This schedule is subject to change at any time.
How many webinar parts will I need to attend to complete this training? Two distinct webinars are required: Webinar Part #1 & Part #2 must be attended in this order.
Will I receive confirmation of my registration?You will receive immediate confirmation from the Praed/TCOM site that your registration went through. Additionally, be on the look-out for a PRE-TRAINING email from the CANS-NY Institute trainers approximately 3 days prior to each webinar session. These important emails will include the specific Zoom link for your training. The email will also include attachments of relevant resource materials which each attendee should plan to have available during the webinar session.
